Endorsement Statement

It is my personal and professional pleasure to endorse Dr. Marvin Miller to serve on the Kansas State Board of Education representing District 10 (West Wichita and South-Central Kansas).  I have known Dr. Miller for many years as a teacher, administrator, and neighbor.

Marvin has devoted his life to the education and support of Special Needs and Regular Education Students of Kansas.   As a Kansas special education teacher and past administrator, Marvin not only knows the law, regulations and challenges, he also knows and understands the experiences of being a parent of a special needs student. 

Marvin has served on the Kansas Special Education Advisory Council (SEAC) for many years and most recently as Chair.  SEAC represents parents and students with special needs and reports to the State Board of Education.   This experience has allowed Marvin to see the big picture of Kansas education for both special needs and regular ed students.  

Marvin has strong leadership skills and believes in creating positive ties with all Kansas families.  Marvin will bring a powerful voice of personal and professional experience to the State Board of Education.
